Winter Wheelers 2024 takes place between 1 December to 31 January so there’s plenty of time to get involved and feel the benefits of cycling.

Milton Keynes Council has partnered with Love to Ride to bring Winter Wheelers, a motivating winter biking challenge that makes winter riding fun, rewarding and accessible to everyone. From 1st December to 31st January, Winter Wheelers invites riders of all levels to embrace the cold weather by hopping on their bikes.

Yes it’s darker and colder – but it can also be one of the most rewarding times to get out and get cycling – 10 reasons to love winter cycling

Join Love to Ride in the Winter Wheelers Campaign where you can win amazing Weekly prizes from 1st December to 31st January for logging your rides and encouraging others to ride and log their miles too! A £2,500 grand prize will be given away at the end of the challenge.

In 2023, Winter Wheelers saw nearly 30,000 enthusiastic participants worldwide, including over 790 thaw-some new riders, wrap up and ride. This all-inclusive challenge welcomes everyone from seasoned riders to those who haven’t been on a bike in years (or ever). We’re here to help you unlock the joys of riding a bike and help you reach your personal health and carbon reduction goals.

Here’s how to get involved:

• Sign up for free at lovetoride.net/miltonkeynes
• Log your bike rides one of three ways: automatically with the Love to Ride app, on the website, or by syncing another riding app. Download the Love to Ride app for Apple or Android devices.
• Encourage others to take part for more chances to win

Cycle Challenges throughout the year

Winter Wheelers is just one of the cycle challenges taking place in MK every year. As well as logging your trips and miles on a regular basis and setting your own cycling goals, you can take part in Ride Anywhere Week 15 – 23 March, Bike Month (June), and Cycle September.
