Can you make changes to the way you Get Around MK?
The Get Around rewards challenge ends on 31 October 2023, but you can redeem your BetterPoints for up to 18 months after the closing date.
Get Around Rewards which helps earn local people free vouchers for major retailers is back from the 1st April 2023.
The Get Around MK team at Milton Keynes City Council is running the exciting programme to inspire and motivate residents and commuters making green and healthy behaviour irresistible, putting active travel in people’s hands.
Almost 200,000 green journeys were logged in MK last year using BetterPoints, covering nearly 350,000 miles.
From 1st April 2023, if you live or work in Milton Keynes through the Get Around Rewards – Betterpoints platform participants will be rewarded for every active and sustainable journey made. We want people to walk to the park, wheel to the shops, cycle to work or take the bus into CMK.
Get Around Rewards will motivate you to do it and make it enjoyable.
Download the free Betterpoints app, (available on Google Play and App Store) and join in with Get Around Rewards.
Pop the app in your pocket, go for a walk, wheel or bike ride, earn Betterpoints and great prizes.
BetterPoints is a multi-award winning behaviour change campaign to combat climate change and improve health. BetterPoints is an app that is designed to incentivise sustainable modes of travel, by rewarding points for every sustainable trip taken. These points can then be redeemed to unlock rewards.

Cabinet Member for Climate Action and Sustainability, Cllr Jennifer Wilson-Marklew said: “We were really encouraged by how popular the scheme was last year and hope that even more people take advantage this time. It’s a really simple way to grab some freebies from your favourite shops all while getting fit and doing your bit for the environment. I encourage everyone to get involved and make the most of the offer while it lasts.”
