International Women’s Day Social Ride
Join Ann, Jane and Clare on a social ride around the Milton Keynes redways to celebrate International Women’s Day. We are also hoping to be joined by our MK Cycling Mayor.
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
Breeze has been a huge success in empowering women to get on their bikes and just cycle. Over 380,000 women across the UK have cycled through Breeze, what an amazing achievement!
Last year’s ride was a huge success and we want to be even better this year. We encourage women who love to ride to come along, it does not matter what type of bike you have, as long as you love riding it.
To mark International Women’s Day we will ride up to ‘The Rose’ in Campbell Park and take a group pic in front of the International Women’s day monument as part of our route.
Our route will also include a couple of other highlights which celebrate the achievements of women in Milton Keynes.
The Milton Keynes Trek store, has agreed to support our event! So we will meet at the Trek Store where they will provide us some treats to celebrate IWD. Please see starting point description for parking arrangements if you’d like to drive to the start.
Today, we will take a very social and gentle ride around the traffic free cycle paths of Milton Keynes, passing lakes, rivers and through our many green spaces.
You are riding under the guidance of Breeze trained champions. We strongly advice you to wear a cycling helmet.
No one ever gets left behind. We go at the pace of the group.
