MK Festival of Cycling
Following the success of last year’s, we are pleased to announce plans for this year’s MK Festival of Cycling 2026. It will take place between Sunday 21st and Sunday 28th June, including:

Sunday 21st June – Solstice Sunrise Ride

Meet 3:45am at Newport Pagnell Station Road car park, MK16 0AG (free car parking). This Milton Keynes Breeze ride is open for anyone to join. Register here. Leader: Ann Shrimpton.

Meet 4am in Station Square for ride to Light Pyramid in Campbell Park for coffee and cake (if ordered), and meet up with Breeze Ride for women. Register here. (See last year’s.). Leaders: Marie Bradburn, Venkata Krishnan.

Free Dr Bike service with Cycle Saviours. 11.30am-2.30pm at Unity Place (station side atrium). Open to all. Leader: Stu Macintosh.

Bikeability Olympics at Stantonbury Athletics Track: 9-12pm, Developing Teams (afternoon session cancelled). Stunt cycle displays. Leader: Maria Riding, Richard Allman.

Dr. Bike & Electric Bike experience pop-up from Fully-charged, 9am-12pm at Midsummer Place entrance. Leaders: Paul Turner, Tristan Allen.

Stadium stop. John Shiels from Manchester United Foundation is cycling round all pro football stadiums for charity, arriving at Stadium MK at approx. 2pm. Wear your football shirt and join him for a while. Download cycle.travel app and search for route 980170. Leader: Marie Bradburn.

Health Ride. 2-3.30pm Campbell Park Pavilion with The Parks Trust. Leader: Dave Lewis.

Mayor’s Summer Ride. Meet 5.30pm in Station Square for ride to Light Pyramid and back for a pub drink. Wear/decorate with flowers! Leader: Marie Bradburn, Ian Revell.

Friday 26th June – Mayor’s Cycling Awards including Love to Ride awards and ICAEW Bikes Donations to local projects. 11am-12pm in back garden of Civic Offices. Launch of Wheels for Wellbeing. Schedule here. Leader: Ian Revell, Marie Bradburn.

Cake & Coffee Bike Ride. Meet 10.30am in Station Square, visit YMCA (CMK) and Campbell Park Parish Council (Springfield). Treasure hunt competition. Register here for free cake and coffee and free Dott hire bikes. Leaders: Ian Revell, Marie Bradburn, Tim Layden.

Interactive performance from Histrionics. Leader: Raeesa Chowdhury, MK City Council.

Free snack packs and drinking water for those who ride or walk, sponsored by GXO.

Also a craft area, information stands covering cycling safety, routes, women only opportunities, family ride programmes and opportunities for access to bike schemes. A stage with local performer and music, a live theatre company, VR, soft play & Smoothie Bike activities, ice cream and food vans, soft drink vendors, alongside Sustainable MK offering refreshments for free or for donations only. Presentations of gifted bikes to local children & young people and some other goodies being given away.

Sunday 28th June – Parks and Ride. 11am-12.15pm from Great Linford Manor Park, with The Parks Trust. Family/beginner friendly. Leader: Dave Lewis.
