Milton Keynes Walking Festival
Three days of walking events across the city for all ages and abilities organised by the The Parks Trust.
The MK Walking Festival is an annual event consisting of a variety of walks for all ages and abilities to come together and explore somewhere different.
Milton Keynes’ annual Walking Festival is back from Thursday 9th – Sunday 12th May with more variety than ever before. This year’s four-day programme is packed with so many exciting ways you can discover Milton Keynes’ parks and green spaces.
Take part in the festival to explore somewhere new, get closer to nature or learn about local heritage. There’s more than just walking this year, with exciting group runs and cycle rides in the mix to help get everyone moving in the great outdoors.
You can make a difference at our litter picking event at Howe Park Wood, make new friends at the Women’s Walking Group, walk and glide with Electra or try something new like barefoot running or forest bathing.

The walks range from gentle strolls through new parkland areas up to the epic 25-mile walk for those looking for a challenge. Highlights for 2022 include bat walks, art trails, walk & glide events and so much more. The festival will take place from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th May.
This year’s programme has been curated by The Parks Trust in partnership with Milton Keynes Council, MK Health Walks, Canal & River Trust and Electra, MK’s Community Boat.
